"A band who ooze charisma. Seeping from every pore is a smugness that comes not from thinking, but from knowing they're good.”
- The Fly Magazine
Little London were formed in 2004 by front man/guitarist Dev Crawford, followed by Matt Grosvenor on drums, Sam Carter-Brazier on guitar and bassist Darren Lines completing the line-up in 2007.
A gritty rock sound somewhere between Motörhead and Metallica, their thunderous riffs and rock and roll swagger have attracted a healthy following in their home town of Portsmouth where they perform regularly to the drunk and disenchanted.
"Little London take to the stage. They have all the hip people in to see them tonight and they are not disappointed as they treat us to a truly stunning set. The girls love them, the boys think they're cool and if they continue to play like this, we should see the mainstream press herald them as rock gods."
- Portsmouth News
Little London pride themselves on their live show, and have opened for Turbonegro, The Datsuns, Electric Eel Shock and Towers Of London, as well as having played the Isle of Wight Festival.
"Little London basically treated this gig like their most important gig ever, which is presumably what they do every time they play and that really is no bad thing..."
- The Echo
Little London are currently working on their first full length album release due out in early 2010, with a promotional tour to follow.
"Little London is the type of band that could knock you dead with the whiff of JD & coke from 50 yards, devilishly handsome and with a nice line in sleaze driven crunching rock"
- Organart
“Imagine The Wildhearts, but heavier; imagine Therapy?, but more fun; imagine The Almighty, but less stuck up. Imagine straight-up metal-tinged rock music: guitars that crunch and soar; bass that punches hard; drums that drive like a trucker on overtime. Now garnish with strong vocals, delivering lyrics about regrets, hangovers and the highs and lows of life on the seamy side, without once resorting to whining. Can you picture that? Good - but you’re still not even close.”

First riff at sonisphere
Little London, a rock band from Portsmouth, will be the first band to strike a chord at the first ever Sonisphere UK rock festival, taking to the Bohemia stage on the morning of Saturday August 1st
To get everyone up and in the mood on the first day of this new festival taking place at Knebworth, the band, who describe themselves of a mix of Motorhead and Metallica playing a Cheap Trick song, have released the first riff they will be playing that day available for download from their website www.littlelondonmusic.com
"We're in the process of recording our debut album, so we thought we'd at least give people the chance to hear the first riff they'll be hearing!" explained Dev Crawford, guitarist and frontman. "Hopefully our set will kick start an awesome weekend for a lot of people, and with a bit of luck our music will wake up a few stragglers still hungover from Friday night's camping mayhem - our first riff will be some people's alarm call, maybe ours too!"
Little London have a healthy fan-base on the South Coast and are excited to be playing to what they call "our perfect audience."
"We're chuffed to have been spotted by the Sonisphere promoters so late in the day and to be given this amazing opportunity" explained D, bassist with the band. "We're big fans of The Wildhearts who are headlining the Bohemia stage, and to launch our rock festival career on the same platform that legendary rockers Thunder are retiring from just makes it that much more historic for us."

About Little London
Little London formed in Portsmouth in 2004 and pride themselves on their adrenaline-fueled live show, having opened for Turbonegro, The Datsuns, Electric Eel Shock and Towers Of London, as well as having played the Isle of Wight Festival twice in the same year. They write songs about "regrets, hangovers and the highs and lows of life on the seedy side". They're big fans of the Wildhearts, AC/DC and Metallica but argue about that order. Two of them should learn to drive but they like drinking too much to be 'designated drivers'. They all take turns taking themselves too seriously but are usually outnumbered three to one. One of their girlfriends is a contortionist, another has a hamster called John McClane. Their debut album 'Playing In The Low Leagues' will be released in early 2010.
